you don't have to press start again for it to pick up where it left off)Not sure how weatherproof it is as I have it installed underbonnet. Panel sits on top of dash and connects via OBD , meaning everything is within the car.

It charged my empty battery in 24 hours. Worked well for a car that's had low battery warnings during lockdown. I left the charger connected most of the time, but i will disconnect it when it would rain as i was leavbig the charge cable outdoor, it would be dangerous if it start raininganyway, after 3 days of charging, the battery full led was on finally! This does the job really well and maintains the 12v battery at a healthy level so that I can start the car first time and no longer need to keep recharging a flat battery.

Important to note that it is not a product that charges a flat battery, but one that maintains a health battery at the right level if the vehicle is only used occasionally. Protip for anyone struggling with the fault light coming on, try attaching the clamp to the very top of the battery connection (see pictured). my car battery flat for uncountable times during the lockdown, because of too few usage and trip distance was too short to charge up the batterynear every time i need to use portable car starter to start the car, as the car could not start because of the flat battery, it’s not good to keep the battery always flat, so i tried this battery chargerit’s good that i don’t need to take the battery out of the car in order to charge it according to the instruction, however, it’s extremely slow to charge the battery until its fullthe charger doesn’t show any information about the battery level, so i was really not sure when it will be fully charged, for some time i thought it would never can finish and i doubt if the charger really worksmy car battery is around 70A, so the charging hour would be near 70 hours!

Personally I wouldn't trust it left out in the rain etc! Although I have a battery charger, I needed something to maintain a constant trickle charge in a vehicle that's left standing for very long periods. The 2x types of battery connection provided (permanent eyelet or crocodile clips) allows for the most appropriate means to connect (without having to chop the supplied cables!

You can spend more money on competitor products, but for what it is I think it’s good value and fit for purpose. Saved me twice so far from replacing my battery.
