What a game changer! Not too powerful which makes it great for not sucking up lots of sand. At the end of the day - it is the best and most efficient gravel cleaner I have ever used.

It was a shame about the enormous delivery packaging, otherwise its an excellent buy despite the price. However, I'd suggest getting a few of the replacement filters to use during a cleaning cycle.

Opened the Amazon box it came in and sand went everywhere Any gravel that is picked up can be easily dropped by a flick of the on/off switch. I have a small saltwater tank that cleaning the substrate is a pain. The wide nozzle prevents too much substrate pick-up.

I lose too much water in the process and it's messy. It took me minutes to clean with this vacuum. All can then be rinsed at the end rather than having to interrupt and delay the cleaning process once a filter is full (and in a dirty aquarium, that can be quite quick). As I sad above, the filters are easily rinsed under a tap - though I am not sure how long they will last.

Not sure what others did wrong, but it certainly did not leave my tank a mess. So I just hover this over the top of sand to collect all the dirt. Not a cheap cleaner but it works well - good suction and easy to clean and maintain.
I love this product. Fortunately, I bought some spare filters together with the cleaner. You can see the before and after pics of the filter.
