It is easy to open to place the used diaper inside, trapping the odor from soiled diapers. I can always resort to the ones I use in the kitchen which are similar in look but sturdier and not scented. At some point I can always peel them back off and put it back on the wall and change it up to another design.

At first i did not put bag through ring big mistake, bags used are from Costco Kirkland brand 200 for 14 dollars. I know the instructions say tightly close up the dirty diaper then toss it in the hole but sometimes people rush and the diaper is not that tightly wrapped or as the baby grows and diapers get bigger it MAY be more challenging to jam in in the 4 inch hole (not there yet so can't comment on a bigger diaper tightly wrapped if there will be issues).

Great design, highly recommend. I am pretty confident as I launch diapers in there, the bag won't slide off the ring from any side. ) I decided not to buy the actual bags from the company (too expensive) and instead purchased some inexpensive scented 13 gallon bags to try out (personal choice) and they fit perfectly with lots of room to spare at the bottom. I thought sliding the lid would be challenging as I tried it out at a local store (display model) and it felt like it was tight or jamming up, but I was very pleased it slid open and closed with ease.

I will need to test the weight for each type of bag I use in case these scented ones are too flimsy. Use your creativity and make this pail your own. Thankfully I was in no rush to receive it.

I am just saying the hole could be bigger (perhaps a suggestion to the manufacturer for a future upgrade to this model would be to make the hole oval or rectangular so it can be bigger/longer. The locking mechanism when twisted as per instructions locked the sliding lid/latch in place thus preventing your young child from opening the latch but the locking mechanism won't prevent the lid from being yanked open-see pic #3 (there is no lock for that).

. The two reasons I didn't give it a 5 are: 1. Not really sure how some people are fitting so many diapers in theirs, but I guess we will see. I clean can with 409 every time I change bag.
