From what I can tell, this lens performs fantastically well. Recently I was on a coach holiday in Scotland, visiting the West Coast, the Moray Firth, and the Trossachs.

I film in a small room and made the mistake a few years ago to buy a 50mm that I couldn’t use due to lack of space so I knew I wanted something smaller than that. This is particularly a problem for me as I have mild tremors but the camera will be used on a tripod anyway so no big deal. Deployed lens on the Sony a6000 in Turkey on a number of demanding walks inland and at sea along the coast. ! If it's in your budget and you're considering this lens, I doubt you'd be disappointed with any real aspect of it provided you are aware of its size and weight. 4, and still obtain some respectable images despite the inclement weather. Even when punching into a wide angle shot there is not a lot of degradation in the photo.

Money is tight so initially went for the cheapest option - a manual 35mm 1. The other negative is that there’s no stabilisation in the lens. It performed very well indeed in all situations and being relatively light was easy to carry.

I’ve attached some pics to demonstrate what I’m taking about. Auto focus was good. I believe, as with most astrophotography photos, a lot of work is done post processing images to really make them stand out- I have not got the software to do this yet but I am still relatively pleased with the initial photos.

I struggled to see peaking on my tiny monitor and I couldn’t get live view on my computer with my camera model. I bought it on eBay for £45!

Sunsets & sunrises were particularly good as was the detail on ancient carvings etc. I really wouldn't sweat no OSS at this level of zoom, unless maybe you're a vlogger.
