I may end up returning it or possibly modifying it by putting a thicker rubber piece on the clap end to be able to tighten it up. It's a bummer because I really like the pedal.

**EDIT 3 12/14/2017** I am updating my review. I bought the Direct Drive Pedal to go with the Meinl Percussion JC50LBNT Birch Wood Compact Jam Cajon that I bought, which measures 10. Also, I had to turn the beater upside down to hit the bottom of the Cajon as it was too tall even at it's lowest and hitting the top of the Cajon(see Photo).
*UPDATE**The item is missing a type of washer in the shape of a “J” that makes the clamp tighter. The vendor contacted me and had MEINL send me out a replacement brass screw fo tighten the pedal assembly to the cajon clamp.
**EDIT** Also, the L bracket that supports the arm doesn't have any support at the 90 degrees of the L which makes the pedal wobble a little bit. Contacted Amazon Customer support and they were very helpful in sending me another one. Aside from the few adjustments I had to make (added a circular foam wedge so the cajon could be tightened into the cajon pedal, turning the beater upside down, and putting a small foam brace under the L bracket that holds the foot bar to the pedal), I like it. The screw needs to be a 1/4" longer to accommodate it (See photo).
