Stylish and solid appearance, metal plate. It has made all of my jazz vinyl collection sound warm, smooth, bassy & generally beautiful! The only criticism I would have are the buttons have a cheap feel when you push them but in time who knows there may be an upgrade. The sound quality really surprised me Count Basie was the first track I played and I was in my element listening.
