Before I bought the tool I really couldn't figure out how the slanted square notch worked, but after using it, I think this is what distinguishes this tool from the cheaper ones. I really had to ponder on paying close to $30 for the tool, especially when I saw others that were considerable cheaper. I wish I had found this tool years and years ago for repairs/Renovations for numerous properties.

This thing is awesome paired with a hammer. That's the only downside to this, though. I dismantled 2 pallets in an hour! Before I received this I broke one of my pry bars, it snapped on the second pallet.

One thing I found that really reduced the noise was placing small pieces of foam weatherproofing strips (the kind that has a sticky adhesive on one side) on the surface of the trim puller where you are hitting it with the hammer. Considering the size of the nails used to secure the trim, (total overkill) it’s a miracle that our drywall is still intact. The nail puller option on the tool doesn’t too allot as most finishing nails don’t have much of a head .

I removed all of the baseboard in our kitchen, dining room and den with ease. One job down and after many hits with the mallet , not even a scratch. I can see the tool lasting for many more home jobs to come .

When installing new base cabinets I used it to lift the cabinet to insert a shim, using it more like a pry bar. All I can say is WOW!

This tool made quick work of the removal. Awesome tool The media could not be loaded. A few users commented on the awful metal-on-metal noise when trying to hammer it into crevices.
