Changed. I hav added a picture of one such thing for reference. Stephen Hurst has become the big fish in a small pond, powerful, wealthy and married to Joe’s first love.
Karen's World
However, I think this book does have more of a supernatural element, so expect something different. Fantastic. Whenever he tries to reveal the dark secret, he is held by something(no spoiler😁)The story alternates between joe's childhood and now, believe me end of every chapter leaves you surprised/thrilled and there are lots of cliffhangers and unpredictable plot twist that leaves you mind fecked.

Arnhill is hiding some deep, dark secrets that seem to have started after a mining disaster in the 1940s that killed the men working in the pit. Chilling. Returning to teach at the High school after a mother kills her son because she said he wasn’t her son in his body brings back memories of his sister and all that went on when he was a child growing up here. Joe’s return is not welcomed, aggravated by the fact he’s renting the cottage where a murder/suicide occurred (I definitely couldn’t have stayed there after the bathroom incident) It’s not long before Joe falls foul of the local thugs.

This is the first thriller novel that i hav read and it has intrigued me to read more books of thriller-horror genre. This book delivers a chilling, unnerving story with sharp, punchy prose that had me gripping my seat.
