Advice for opening the battery compartment the use of a coin from 10 cents €. conclusion I put 4 stars xè it does not have a reception, as they say, just a few trees and we already stop at a maximum of 2/3 km, for the rest they are perfectly hermetic, I know something about it, a little lost in the sea (fortunately it is) was found by a fisherman on the shore in perfect condition). I bought these the other day doubting that they would be bad for the money but I couldn’t be more wrong these are excellent products amazing range crystal clear sound just amazing in its self.

They are sold with 8 channels but, through a procedure in the manual (and available on the internet), expansion to 16 channels is possible (remaining in any case legal). The quality to the touch is of sturdy materials; due to the flow rate, the 10km are almost impossible to reach (as indicated in the manual depend on the soil and conditions) but the limit is mainly of PMR technology (output power and antenna length) not of the radio, in the open field up to 3km are easily reached. Belt clip with whistle. Big but surprisingly handy.

The maximum distance at which I tested them was just over 5 km in high mountains, and the communication was clear. I bought them for the sole purpose of using them for skiing, and I couldn't be happier.
