This book has quickly been renamed "my diabetes bible" :)So when my hubby was diagnosed, I immediately turned to the Hairy Bikers. Very tasty.

If you can't get butter beans, use white kidney beans (photo inc)11. I joked that a shot of rum would make it a lovely summer drink on a cool evening :)14.

(Photo inc)9. Summery green slaw, change 1 cabbage for half a cabbage else you'll be eating it all week! Buckwheat pancakes were OK, mushroom topping was nice which I now make and put on top of wholemeal toast. Aubergine bake, disgusting.
