As for movies, its offers no hindrance as I don't tend to view my monitor from wide angles anyway. I use my monitor for gaming, and I need a monitor to perform at low and high refresh rates.

The picture quality is excellent with superior contrast. Althought U have made sure the monitor is aligned with my height / eye level. I had one dead pixel on mine, but I DON'T get any screen flicker like others have reported on the latest firmware. I have not experienced any of the flickering issues, using my rtx 2080 rig, firmware v1006, so have not updated the firmware any further.

I toned the contrast and brightness down to 50s. I also use it for movies and occasional picture/video editing, but it is my primary gaming monitor. The monitor comes with a stand which is very large so make sure you have desk space for this, or alternatively, it comes with a wall mount bracket, which again if you look at the image, you will see I have mounted to the wall.

I was a bit skeptical at first when I recieved this monitor. Please be aware, the monitor comes with only a Display Port cable (which you are better off using to get the most out of the monitor).

No bleeding, and I noticed looking at things from the side isn't even an issue as review sites like rtings have said. The included RGB lighting is a nice touch for dark room gaming (it is subtle), but as you can see from photo, I admit, I have a little RGB 'problem' already (not subtle).

If you are prone to sit pretty close to your monitor as I do (roughly 50cm in my case) you will actually find the curve almost wraps round with your slight line, and can make your visual experience feel more immersive. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Monitor on the left of pictures is the HP Omen, G7 on the right.

It's literally the best monitor I've had, I'm actually surprised it has no bleed, and it's also BRIGHT. I wasn't sure if the "aggressive" curve would impact me so here it is. I had just returned a good value for money 32" VA panel (only get what you pay for erh), was on the verge of buying a IPS screen, but I love the high contrast ratios VA panels offer over the vibrant nano screen colours that LG offer.
