This is an excellent book of soups. It has a lot of classics but it has even more things that are a little exotic. The photos are lovely and a lot of work was put into this book! They’re nice to have and to look through and to keep on a shelf for handy reference that you can go back to again and again.
There are pictures for about 6 recipes and I don’t think that there has to be a pic for every single recipe. It’s a perfect soup starter cookbook. People who say, ‘you can find these recipes online’, are kind of missing the purpose of a recipe book.
The recipes are all well described for what the final product should taste like and what it goes well with for meal planning. Some recipes you’ll have to go shopping for, others you can make out if your fridge. Things that I’ve had in a lot of restaurants but have never made myself. Others are ones I’ve never tried before!
