However liked so much we bought another. The kettle is fairly quiet and boils quickly. Doesn't light up a great deal. Other than that it’s a fine, useable kettle, you just have to be conscious of those points.

• Steam escapes from the ‘lid button’ when you tip it back down after pouring which can and will scald you. As adults that may not be an issue but worth considering if you have less able persons in your home or children. Good kettle bought in replacement for the same model which lasted many years, highly recommended 👍

I had no hesitation buying a new one! When looking at a replacement I was going to get something a bit fancier, but what's the chance that a new electronic thing will last more than 3-4 years?

Best kettle I have had, lights up nicely, has a great eco feature (line to fill the water) where you don’t need to use too much electricity while boiling if only making 1-2 cups of tea/coffee. I've just purchased a replacement for my previous one that I bought around 15-20 years ago. None of the bags were sealed. I like that it’s glass so you know when it needs cleaning .
