TenAt the next station the mother vanishes,Ellen is about to raise the alarm when she discovers a note in the baby's bag, three desperate linesPlease protect MiaDon't trust the policeDon't trust anyoneWow what a action packed, fast paced thriller by one of my favourites authors. I really like Ellen as a character, feeling sorry for her over the recent events with her husband but also liking the strength of character she showed to others and herself.

Like Ellen, I became paranoid, it’s impossible to know who to trust when you're not sure where the danger lies or the people involved. An intensely gripping story, although I could see there were certain parallels with recent news events which hit home somewhat, and I did guess the baddie a few pages in advance but it was still hugely entertaining, a real pleasure to read and a book I couldn’t put down.

Such a thrill ride from beginning to end. ! Ellen is an intriguing character, at first she seems to be your ‘Mrs Average’ but as the plot progresses she becomes more confident and plucky. Don't trust anyone.

I really enjoyed all the different narrations (which the voice actor did brilliantly) which all kept me guessing. After the train pulls in at the next station Ellen, to her horror, sees Kathryn rushing off down the platform, mouthing 'sorry' at her. As soon as I pressed play on this one I didn’t want to stop listening!

I was completely intrigued by the blurb and couldn't say no to giving it a listen. Tension builds from multiple angles, there’s plenty of action, and there’s plenty of sustained terror to keep readers hooked. .

The cast of characters are really well envisaged and the interaction between them and the unraveling of the plot both build to a shocking and devastating climax. All views are my own.
