I like this book exists and can help with my child if she feels worried or overwhelmed by school. School asked my son to get This as he's bee worried he said it's helped with some questions and has been asking me if I remember anything about school he said he would recommend to his friends My daughter will be transitioning from primary to secondary school very soon.

I only wish something like this was around when I started big school! I watched the TV series Educating Yorkshire and I was impressed with how Matthew Burton ran his school and his firm but approachable attitude to his students. Highly recommended My child should have no problem reading this, too.

So easy to read and so detailed. It’s an easy read so your children won’t zone out. She is so happy she got a chance to read that book, as there is so much to know before transition. It’s simple and straight to the point with lots of helpful tips written on the child’s level but respecting a school ethos.

What a brilliant idea, a head teacher has written a book for children starting secondary school 😁 very well written, its funny, gives great advice and information for all children 😆 mentions every theory every child thinks about secondary school 🤣 and i really really like the added effect to get you interactive by either adding pointers in at bottom or leaving areas black for you to fill out! This is exactly how the book reads. How he was on their level when he spoke to them yet still upholding respect with humour and sympathy. It covers all the information you could possibly need and things you may not have even thought of.
