Way too much treble. Quieter than 40 hz thoughI dimed the amp with bass boost and had no serious issues, except some amp distortion. If you hear old mono sound music you will stunning by that speaker sound the details you never heard of. Had the Creative T40-s2 PC speakers in a tiny lab at work, liked the MTM design and sound signature at lower volumes for a small space.

My old desktop set had died, and it was a set that had built in amp and controls. Micca should look into making bass cabs.

They sound decent. Thankfully passive subs can be found at a reasonable price.

The only downside is for full range sound, they will not play loud. Quite convincing ‘head turning’ stereo imaging and a slightly MF/HF tilted sound profile depending on the source material are surprising for a low cost speaker such as these. Downsides: vinyl “woodgrain finish” wrap & shallow banana plug terminals, little annoying workmanship details.

I played bass professionally and have done a ton of mixing and recording. These have a surprising amount of mid/low-end punch when paired with a capable amp (Onkyo A-933 100w/ch class-D). I also ran another tone tester and got bass reproduction down to 30-35 hz. Previous my purchase was the covo-s speaker from micca that was mind blowing then I decided to buy 0o0 speaker for extended sound quality.

I have had small Polks and B&Ws run out of Denons and Marantzs at various points in my life, these are as nearly capable speakers as those mid priced bookshelf’s mentioned that one can build a low cost bedroom hi-fi with a decent 50W/ch amp-DAC combo. The sound is not balanced well.
