, was dirty with black vinyl dust (cleaned), 1st play through pop click pop (cleaned again), 2nd play click pop click, and I returned. Vinyl version: Columbia – CL 1355, Columbia – 88883761031 see pictures. Saw a bunch of mixed reviews for this version of Kind of Blue. Only downside is the cover image not being original (due to copyright).

I never leave reviews but thought I ought to on this occasion. The only recent repress, with majority of praise is the 2x LP 45rpm MoFi or the UHQR, if you wish to pay the price of admission. Record player: Technics SL-1500c with Ortofon 2M Black.

Sound is clean and engaging. But we are quite not there yet, and still some way from it, in my opinion. to find the greatest vinyl bang for my buck. Though I have a huge collection of jazz greats, this album remains at the very top of the pile, with its status as the best ever jazz album still securely intact.

Still hard to argue at this price. I researched many reviews here, Discogs, ect. Yes, its not as ethereally spacious as stereo, but it better layers and balances the instruments in my opinion and if you remain unconvinced that mono can produce three-dimensionality, this record will convince you.
Old Punk
Heavyweight vinyl, flat, quiet, lined inner sleeve, good quality jacket. Some said "A lot of surface noise" or "Sounds great" or the Stereo version "adds more space/depth" or "misses the mark" or "Bad sibilance in spots" ect. Highly recommended and still the best jazz album ever, without question. To me it sounds good (all that matters), without having to spend the exorbitant prices of late.
