These are supposed to be rock hard, thats the way they are made and have always been made. One packet was Damaged see picture above. Yum Quality rusks that taste of home!

Some people eat them as is, which is also fine, just check your teeth as they are quite hard. These are delicious and will always take me back to growing up in South Africa. They are meant to be eaten and dipped into a cup of coffee or even better, a rooibos tea!
