This allows you to set up the snitch to make a Harry Potter costume or display to simulate the snitch flying. This is not a drone and there is no remote control–this costs < $15.

We’ve had great fun playing with this toy – plus it even comes with a small display plinth so we can have it on show when we’re not using it too! Included in the box are the snitch, two 1. There are eight putty/invisible string sets, and four of the sets are comprised of three fibers strands (stronger but easier to see), and four of the sets are two fiber strands (more invisible, for advanced users after practice).

The other side of the string has another putty ball which is to be placed on either your ear or on your collar, so you can lean forward and "guide" your snitch around, as if it was flying. Brilliantly clever! Each end of the thread has a glob of putty. I am still not expert enough to make the snitch look like it is flying on its own, but hopefully I will get there.

The Aramid thread is supposed to be very strong and relatively invisible. The unique feature of the toy is that when turned on the snitch will move its wings–the snitch does not actually fly.

This is not a toy for a young child, but a teen and up who really likes Harry Potter or Harry Potter costuming may enjoy this as a gift or for entertaining children. Wow!
