Sturdy enough for long-term play and light enough that he could carry it wherever. He was pretty excited to get it, so am really hoping that it's sturdy and he can enjoy it, even without the hat! I put it in a sandbox I built for him and then cemented it into another box. (We'll find out after assembling).

My 3 year old grandson loves it! Very disappointing, for him, and for me - I thought it was such a cute part of the gift - especially as there are so few dress up costumes/accessories for little boys. I ordered this as a Birthday Gift for my 4 yr old Grandson. Needs a bit of help to lift but honestly not much, and I think he’ll have the motion down within the week.

He absolutely loved it! I'm hoping its going to be worth 4 Stars out of 5 - July 14, 2023. Anyways great quality, easy to put together, kid loves it, win all the way around! It's far too much bother to pkg back up to return just for a hat, as they live a 4 1/2 hr distance from me, so am really hopeful that the digger itself is a success.

See pictures. Feels very sturdy and works like a dream…so long as you IGNORE THE INSTRUCTIONS and put it together in a way that makes sense:- Handles should be spaced apart, NOT criss-crossed- make sure those little bumps by the one bolt (see photo) are notched into the holes properly.
