About this deal

15, Basic Yellow 40. This pot contains enough colour for normal shoulder length hair. Alpine Green Directions hair dye is a deep dark green hair dye with slight blue tones. All our colours can be mixed, meaning the possibilities are endless. Aqua (Pure), Cetearyl Alcohol, Distearoylethyl Hydroxyethylmonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Propylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Formic Acid, HC Blue No. Completely cruelty-free & vegan-friendly. Directions semi-permanent hair colour is not only the best fashion shade of choice, it’s also the safe way to colour.

  • Directions alpine Green hair dye is best used on bleached hair, it looks great with dark blues like midnight blue and atlantic blue.
  • Dry shampoo can help prolong the colour.
  • Vegan friendly hair dye NOT Tested on Animals
  • All Directions Hair Dye colours can be mixed together to create your own shades
  • Please see included manual for application instructions.
  • Directions Alpine Green is a dark green hair dye that works on most hair types, it's darker than apple green and spring green.
  • Directions contains no peroxide, and is therefore best suited to use on light blonde or pre-lightened hair.
  • Darker shades may give a sheen of colour to darker hair but we recommend pre-lightening for the best results.
  • Don't mix directions with peroxide or shampoo that contains conditioner.
  • The colour shown is based on bleached hair and may not necessarily indicate the final colour which will depend on your base colour, hair type and porosity.
  • Vegan friendly hair dye
  • Directions usually lasts between 2-6 weeks and will gradually fade over time, depending on how often you wash your hair.

I carried on and I was amazed that actually there was enough in that little pot to do my hair! I tried violet & lilac this time and it washed out really quick.

Again, the left is in artificial light and the right is in natural light. Also if you have 4C hair I recommend at least 200ml to cover you hair. It was my own mistake not to wear gloves when washing the dye off (so I’m not knocking off a star for my own silliness) so make sure to wear gloves during the whole process! I tried to wait until the colour had completely faded before applying the Dark Tulip, but there was definitely still some green in the tips.

to give you an idea my hair colour before I dyed it was a mousy brown colour darker at the top and lighter at the bottom (probably from previously colouring my hair). After 2 weeks it’s now a pale bluey lilac colour (photo 2).

I've tried a few of these Directions semi-permanent dyes on un-bleached hair now and have had mixed results. I would definitely recommend! I'm now thinking of mixing the ebony and midnight blue. I bought this for my wife, this is her review.

I should really have done a before and after picture but totally forgot. I then tried Midnight Blue not long after (the third picture I uploaded). I didn’t use a brush I just rubbed it all through my hair and hoped for the best but as you can see I didn’t do a bad job. You can experiment with these colours and you don't need bleach.

So I decided to use 'Tulip' and applied it for 90 mins - of course there's no point in hoping it will come anything close to the swatch above but it's still a really nice unique colour. Cerise colour was used)It does stain everything it touches. I used Vaseline all around my hairline and on my ears as I know this can really stain your skin, and I wore thick yellow rubber gloves and applied it with my hands rather than a tint brush as I was doing all over.
