Then gently comb, rinse, and use a good leave in conditioner and serum before combing again (wet or dry). I couldn't reach the back and but have this lovely honey blond effect round the crown and face after 30 mins. I will definitely buy again and will buy a separate cap as it will still be cheaper than salon and I didn’t think I could last that long with a mask and foils on in a salon

I usually have my highlights done at a salon but couldn't get to one so dyed my hair dark brown and hated it so brought this highlighting kit and love it, it's lightened my hair so much I can't wait to use it again soon I was very very nervous doing this as I have medium brown hair with blond highlights so I need to blend and terrified of ending up with orange roots! No other box bleach comes close (and I've used a few) absolutely worth 5* As we are unable to go to the hairdressers at the moment I thought I’d try and do my roots myself.

I was initially a bit put off by the box of this highlighter kit but am really pleased I tried it because the results are excellent: natural blondish highlights that are not too yellow and have not dried out my hair. Easy to use, did the foil method, left on for 30 mins only.

After brushing the mixture on I used a wide tooth comb to get a high light effect, just to see how it went. First time user, amazed by the colour. Having previously used bleach at home and wrecking my hair whilst turning it multiple shades of orange I was a little apprehensive to say the least.

For info, I was just retouching my roots and only have a few highlights so I put the mixture directly on my hair where I wanted it and didn't use the cap or foils. In doing this myself and not going to the hairdresser have saved a fortune!

I was very apprehensive about using this as usually fo to salon but I’ve saved myself £90 as I’ve cut it and coloured myself and the outcome is just what I wanted I’ve got mid/light brown hair with previous light highlights in and didn’t wanna go orangeEverything was easy apart from the cap, I’d advise if you are going to do this more than once investing in a much better quality cap, the tie handle on one side broke as I tried to tie it so the fit wasn’t perfectThe mixture was easy to use and apply - I left it on 30 mins, a friend in my bubble did the back for me as that was had to see and reach myself. I have never highlighted nor dyed my hair at home, always went to hairdressers.
