This dye had great coverage my hair's about chest length and I only ordered one jar thinking eh I'll just cut it if I have to or touch it up and get another jar. )It's worth every penny. Long hair (past butt)- recommend 2 1/2 jarsMedium length (waist)- recommend 1 1/2 jarsShort hair (shoulder length and above)- recommend 1 jarI have had all kinds of lengths in the past so it’s been a lot of trial error for what works best. )The color fades to an orangeish, to be honest, even though it fades, it is still an intense/interesting color that people constantly swoon over.

For longer, thick hair one jar should be fine. Ive had the dye in the hair for a good week and I'm impressed with the color, the longevity of the dye and hope it came out on my medium brown hair! )Over time, I became more and more convinced that this product isn't damaging my hair AT ALL, despite now leaving it on for 2 hours.

For best results, don't use the recommended jar amounts. My roots were “virgin” from bleach but did have some color before this. I have been dying my hair for 15 years, mostly red, but I've also gone quite a while with aqua and done other fun colors like purple and magenta.

Amazingly, her hair created an accidental ombre effect that was beautiful on her dark hair. And then a few hours later carefully shampooed only focusing on my scalp and the dye came off my scalp. I’ve definitely tried plenty brands for red shades over the years and this one has been my favorite.

I just got this in the mail and I used it after I washed my hair with just shampoo. I ordered 'Valentine' for as bright a red as I can get.

My hair to start was once lightened maybe 6 months ago professionally and went back to have them make it red at the salon but it faded so quickly and wasn't as vibrant as I wanted at all. ) I use the color Valentine, with a combination of the colors Leeloo and Neon Peach on the ends of my extensions. I never dye my hair with the intentions for it to last me longer than 2-3 weeks if that.
