The unit is bigger than I expected, but won’t be difficult to store when the hot weather stops. I know this is probably to keep the form factor down but it is very frustrating. I decided on this fan after researching portable air conditioners, evaporators and tower fans because it seemed to fulfil what I needed: efficiency(12settings), portability(means I can take upstairs or out to my art room easily), eco setting adjusts setting to the surrounding temp, an oscillator(horizontal and vertical movement) and remote control.

At current, the temperature in my room is around 26 Celcius and the fan speed has set to 6, only half of its maximum power and more than enough to cool effectively. There is a table in the manual with temperature ranges and the fan speed applied (1-12 speed settings).
