I'd buy again. Worked great until the tape fell off of both emitter and receiver a week later (even though I prepped surfaces with alcohol swab). It also helps to keep fresh batteries in your remotes so the source IR signal is as strong as possible, for maximum range and with ambient light. Works great!

So my MIL just moved into an apartment where the cable company has a cable box attached the wall of every studio apartment. Works like a champ. You can usually see the round receiver by shining a light at an angle on the face of your device. The only downside is that I wish the reception angles were better, if I sit off center of the tv it becomes a hassle to use but at least it is usable.

". Hope this info helps. Then to test if you have the right spot, simply cover that spot with your thumb while trying to use the remote pointed directly at it , now we can use the remote to turn it off and on, change functions, and everything else the remote usually does. Bam!

The DVR can sense remotes from any angle in the room out to about 15 feet and in daylight. Once found, the transmitter uses adhesive to be stuck right over, the infrared receiver spot. UPDATE: I spent some time locating exactly where the IR sensor on the DVR is, then made sure the emitter from this remote extender was placed exactly in front of that sensor, and moved the DVR closer to the emitter.

This cool little device can pick up your remote's signal and rebroadcast to a different spot. The IR Repeater Cable came exactly as described, on time and well packaged. I got this cause my husbands TV sound bar sits right at the bottom of the TV and I could never get it to turn on without standing back up.
