Dribbling is improved and players like Bale and Hazard who skip past people in real life actually do on FIFA 18, as it should be. The crowd is so much more detailed that previous years and players animations are far more varied. A new feature in gameplay is the option for a quick sub.

In my opinion, the gameplay itself is hugely different and I improved. Yes I’m Talking To You. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻 The Journey goes into it’s second year and although I’m only 5/6 into it I’m loving it.

This was tried in a previous Fifa but here you either pre-select up to 3 possible subs (Eg Rashford for Martial) and during gameplay once play has stoped to a goal kick etc you can hold the R2/LT to select one of your subs, saving you going into team managerment. The biggest thing on Manager Mode are the transfer/wage negotiations cutscenes.

I have also noticed that I’m able to score from corners, which was for me, was nearly impossible on 17. Graphics are improved too. The cutscenes are great, although graphics could be maybe better, the story it great. .

I love the game and the world cup update is just awesome. These are done through you and the player/Manager with some The Journey style interactions to beat out a good deal for both parties. This game FIFA 18 with the world cup update has a smooth gameplay with a more realistic touch to it. Great improvement overall though on FIFA 17.
Harmony
EA have slowed the gameplay down making it more realistic but the movement and dribbling of players is a noticeable improvement from 17. I started afresh but there is the option to carry on from your 17’s Hunter with his stats and club still in place. For me the gameplay is a little slow but adds to the realism of football. FIFA 18 seems to be getting some real mixed reviews here and it’s the ones who are saying it hasn’t changed from FIFA 17 - couldn’t disagree more!
