The multi-layered plot brings all the myriad characters together in a believable way, and it has enough twists and red herrings to satisfy the most ardent of thriller fans. Twelve secrets that have impacted Ben Harper's life in the most profound way. How bloody amazing is this!

As the story evolves you discover that they are indeed connected and it all makes sense. It speaks to the arrogance, entitlement, and hubris of the very wealthy who think other people are pawns in their own personal game. Secrets are always fascinating fodder for a novel.

Ben Harper was engaging and sympathetic. So excited to see what happens in book 2 and fingers crossed for the potential romance that I was picking up on They can bind people together, they can destroy dreams, they can damage lives.
I loved this book I thought I had it all worked out many times but boy was I wrong amazing so many twists and turns really kept me guessing I highly recommend everyone had a story to tell I cannot wait for Ben harper book 2 this was my last book of 2020 and only 99p so so worth it 👌 There were a LOT of characters and at first you cannot figure out how they are connected.
Twelve secrets here as the title suggests. It also speaks to parenting, both by birth and by adoption. - I am anxious to find out more about her character. For some reason this novel reminded me somewhat of an episode of the television drama "Unforgotten".
! As this is touted to be the first in a series featuring Ben Harper, I am confident that I will try to follow this series to its conclusion.
Yes, this is an entertaining crime thriller. The setting and characters hooked me right in (Ben 🥹) I loved that we got to know about the past which gave an insight into Ben’s feelings and all he is experienced. After reading an interview with the author, I understand that PC Dani Cash will have more of a presence in the second novel in the series.
