Any books that can help with emotive subjects but can explain it simply without insulting the reader is brilliant and this is up there with some of the best. I love anything that spreads these important messages to children from a young age but I did feel it was probably a little advanced for reception age children on average and would be more suitable for children aged 6 or 7 and older. 5 year old doesn't even realise that people are different races and would never refer to someone making reference to the colour of their skin right now (thankfully!
