Thanks to Kindle Unlimited, I have been able to borrow the Anglesey Murders box set (books 1-5). Unholy Island is the first in the series and an excellent read - I couldn't put it down. I have not read novels by Conrad Jones before and hope I will also enjoy the rest of this series as much! I've just started the second one.

Just read this on Kindle. Good characters, even if their livers won't make retirement! Y Ddraig Goch - lots of them.
One complaint - dodgy editing or proof-reading. But generally not bad. I prefer a slightly cosier Aggie Christie type detection puzzle - an argument over the Church Flower Rota ends up in strychnine in the choccies - but there is a lot going on in this. Also the book is set on Ynys Môn or Môn (Anglesey) - not Mon (without the accent), so no companies called Mon Car Services etc.
I lost count when the bloodily-slaughtered body-count reached double figures. Nowhere in Wales is there a pub called the Ddraigh Goch.
