I don't agree with this. Another helpful review suggested tucking the valve under the blue cover. I left her collar a bit loose so I could take it off when we went out side by simply slipping off her head, something she never tries to do on her own. It would either be right in his face or underneath digging into his neck/chest.

As others mentioned, you do need to make sure the ends of the collar meet where you connect the velcro, otherwise the cat could get something caught in the gap. She is doing wonderfully and is an awesome dog. She tore out 1 row of staples and got infection and ended up back in surgery. Best part is when she was finally able to take it off I deflated it , put back in plastic box and stored away and pray we never need it again!
