This is a well-told story that -- like Puzo's trilogy -- will stand the test of time. It's one of those rare novels that makes you completely lose track of time while you're reading, and craving to return to it after you've had to put it down.
Well, the comparisons may, in fact, fall short of their mark! THE FORCE is a well-told, authentic, believable, character-driven piece. Stephen King has compared Don Winslow's THE FORCE to The Godfather, and frankly, I was dubious, as Mario Puzo's novels are among my favorite.
