Having said that, if you have a child that is into curiosities as such, this book is an absolute must. So many pictures from this book are ingrained in my mind. I’ve heard a few people talk about this book with a sense of nostalgia, so I’ve bought it for my son’s ninth birthday. I bought it to send to them on Halloween.

In today's unfortunate PC and censored world, many of these might be censored for disturbing content and they are absolutely responsible for creating some of the terror that I felt while reading this at a young age. It’s suitably creepy without being terrifying and he’s hardly put it down! The media could not be loaded.

I used to constantly book it out of the library (along with the 'Monsters' edition - but not so much that one as the 'Ghosts' edition). As Reece Shearsmith states in his foreword, "Its macabre contents stayed with me my whole life. I was so morbidly curious as a child and it gave me shivers for years thereafter.
