And I'm glad I picked it up. And its villainous creation Pinhead has of course become a minor pop-culture icon.

Not only does it have essentially all of the bonus content from prior releases like the excellent Anchor Bay DVD, including commentary and behind-the-scenes vingettes, but it also includes a feature-length making-of documentary that's thorough and informative and quite entertaining itself. If you're a "Hellraiser" fan, you owe it to yourself to buy it. An easy 5 out of 5.

The 2K restoration is absolutely exquisite. The sound quality is also excellent all around.
. heck, you can even see the film grain in very fine detail on larger screens. Greater delights await! As an enormous fan of the film, I was just blown away by this Blu-Ray.
To my knowledge, this is the same disc that was included in the now out-of-print (and thus prohibitively expensive) Scarlet Box set, and I'm ecstatic that it's available now as a stand-alone. And to add to the brilliant restoration, the bonus content is just to die for. But Arrow Video's High-Definition Blu-Ray is by and large the current definitive edition. The color is as lush as it could possibly be given the subject matter, and black levels are nice and deep.
