Damn. Whilst this book is a rom-com it does have themes of abandonment both from the FMC and Gennie and I thought these themes were handled REALLY well. the couple, the characters, the chemistry! Those things never get past first base.

(LOVED HER)✔️ Benson & Stabler with a twist✔️ a lot of carbs and jam✔️ chapter long 🌶It's a small town romance so you know the deal, she's come back from the city to her childhood hometown. (but not always so cutesy if you get my drift 😏🤭)I also did the audio as I read along. She’s a teacher and I just love her and her mentality towards Gennie especially. we got grumpy/sunshine, single parent, friends to lovers, marriage of convenience, childhood crush, found family.
