Which I love. After watching her numerous career defining performances over the years in Ma Raineys Black Bottom, HTGAWM, Fences, she opens up a chapter that is not always so accessible to the public. Congrats on everything, Viola!

This book is definitely worth a read. Viola unpacks so much within her memoir, which is harrowing but needed, this story will stay with me. Viola tells her story of how she lived in poverty as a child, enduring racial and sexual abuse and always striving to change of life. However that has nothing to do with Viola hence the 5 stars.

Can't say too much as haven't finished reading. I am a big fan of voila Davies and enjoying, finding me, such a wonderful woman 🌹❤️🌹 Let's you see a piece if Viola, her childhood and the Woman she has become. This story was phenomenal and inspirational.
