I've tried it all but never have I had much success until I stumbled upon these lures. It will sink with larger hooks and float with small trout hooks. Love these things.

Ever since then I've only been using this lures and every time I go fishing I catch at least one trout with these lures I usually fish it by hooking a #8 octopus hook through the head or partially through the head and out the body, on a 4 lb line. I fish it on a weighted swivel leader with 4# mono and a #6 Owner Mosquito hook. The tails sometimes get pulled off by fish when biting, but that’s the cost of doing business.
