I highly recommend it, and it makes a fantastic gift! Glad it’s rechargeable and not having to deal with buying batteries. This is a great portable emulator and I was impressed by how well it can run the vast majority of the included games.

The sound is serviceable and the speaker can get pretty loud. Software is a bit hit or miss for me.
The button layout lends itself more to older systems anyways, so I'd stick to that. My first concern was comfort. I did some research and there isn't any option for custom firmware as of the writing of this review. Fantastic for car trips and to keep them occupied.
The emulation is perfectly fine for most games that are from the PS1 era and before, but some later systems (CPS3 Arcade emulation was a noticeable one) run much laggier and stutter often. I've tested a few different portable emulators, but this is the first "micro" handheld that I've tried. Lots of games for them to share. Compact and super portable.
Perfect size for little hands and the oldest (teen) was able to set it up and program it for his little brother too. Since the device is so small, I thought my hands would cramp up after only a few minutes of playing, but I was able to game on this thing for about an hour without any kind of discomfort. The screen while small, is bright and surprisingly easy on the eyes.
