Peppermint also has some therapeutic properties, upset stomach etc. Combined with plain water this is ideal for strenuous activity when you need a sugar only boast. Ideal high calorie low digestive index (does not require much energy/oxygen to release calories)-therefore ideal for high altitude walking. my energy supplement of choice when walking in the mountains.
