Powered by 2 aaa batteries(included). Have yet to see how long the batteries last so cannot comment on that.

Item arrived next day and was well packaged. This unit is incredibly comfortable to hold and easy to operate.

The packaging is nice and minimal and comes with a nifty little "quick use" leaflet that tells you all you need to know to get going. This is simple enough to use between checking body temperature or an objects temperature, i tried it on head,body,ear,mouth and fridge,freezer and kettle and the readings seem to be right, only thing it seems to tell you the actual temperature one minute or just high or low the next, the light goes green for low, amber for medium and red for high, for £20 at time of review it's probably worth it if need to check on your temperature if feeling unwell.

Nicely sized to fit in the drawer I use for medications and general first aid items and east to spot due to the cream and pink colour scheme. I have no idea why we have never had a thermometer in our 30+ years of marriage but we haven't.

Very easy to operate and read and no issues with battery compartment as I've experienced with other similar products. A must have for every bathroom cabinet.

Turn it on and wait for the icon to come up as "object" (shows an image of a person's head and shoulders) point it at the forehead and press start. A thermometer with a led display and batteries included.
