You have to actually remove the DPF and clean it with this solution. A lot of black soot came out when I first removed the bung and a lot more when I started rinsing, it took a long time to rinse but in the end it all cleared up, it was severely blocked before and was just a big block of carbon inside, I haven’t actually tested the DPF yet but it looks clean now and I’m sure it’s fineIf you’re planning to bathe it rather than fill it you may need more than you’d think, even with the bung the DPF took the whole 5 litres and I only just managed with that but felt like I had to for this.

My garage mechanic recommended me this filter cleaner . I had a DPF warning light on my dash, which developed into EML/Glow plug light with my van going into limp mode. . So for I am happy after service my car .

All in all, it does a good job. I like this filter cleaner .

So if you're not comfortable with this kind of work, it's best you get a professional to do it for you. Now I am going to preface this by saying this almost certainly not Wynns fault as I have checked another of other review where people have been happy with but this did not work for me.
