It's very light, inconspicuous and does the job. My set up is using a Hauppage USB receiver and I live approximately 6 miles (straight line) from my local transmitter and approximately 32 miles from a major transmitter.

O chose this because the design was developed by a so called NASA guy or something. The amount of signal strength may vary but I found most of them to be 25% above and mostly in 50 % above strength hence I did not see any need for an amplifier.

They replied very promptly suggesting that the issue could either be caused byaluminium casings contained within the new window frames and/or a reflective coating on the window panes preventing the aerial picking up a signal. amazon. My TV shows signal strength and signal quality for each programme group of channels and before disconnecting my roof aerial I took a baseline for comparison purposes (see attached image). I knew the direction of the base tower ( checked the other cable antennas.

2) It has a 4. This is an un-amplified aerial and as I am exactly 15 miles away from the nearest transmitter (right on the upper limit for this aerial) I decided to also purchase a SLx signal booster;(https://www. Once I connected the SLx signal booster the improvement was dramatic, boosting me back to 141 channels all at a similar or higher signal strength / quality to the old roof aerial.

(pics attached) not exactly ideal positioning so it is possible that the aerial on its own may have been good enough in different circumstances. To be honest, I was probably a lazy reader on the description but I was under the impression that this was a wire mesh (bit like a wire rack) rather than very thin wires supported on thin plastic.
