My sleep is not too disturbed and I manage to go back to sleep for another 60-90 minutes - Godsend! Time will tell re: leaking problems as reported by others but I’m chuffed with it!

I really can't think of a negative. It's great, should have got one years ago. My last one in this style lasted 17 years I was a bit bothered that the clock would tick as it so close to my bedside, but I can't hear a thing.

A very attractive item and a great way to make a cup of tea He flicks the switch to 'Now' as he goes to the shower and his brew is all ready as he gets ready for work. Christmas present for my partner (actually really for me). There is really not much choice on market only more expensive round topped model by swan which I can’t see why it should be more expensive besides this one has handy tray I use to bring the pot and cup downstairs for washing, it will be nice to have a cuppa without waking dogs in the morning, I need a cup before I can function and can have one in peace before feeding the hounds!

There were no instructions in box but downloadable from website. Disappointed that there are scratches on the clock face.

reminds me of my grandparents. Simple to use and the water really does boil not just heat up. I've had a number of these before.

I would have given 4 stars but for one design error. Not a big deal but it involves some effort when one is trying to get back to sleep! Makes a good cup of tea. It's compact and the handy tray on top is a brilliant addition.

All I have to do now is remember to fill the tank the night before, pop a teabag in the pot and put a couple of little cartons of long life milk out (taking me about 2 mins) and job done. When the water flushes into the pot, a little alarm goes off continually until you manually flick the switch off. 30!
