The strap is just enough to tie to a big wrist like mine. You can change the time from 12hour to 24 hour in the click of a button.

The display is adequate and the backlight is the same as all other ELs I have. The battery in the oldest of my F91s has been in there for around six years so far and shows no sign of giving up its job and going into retirement, the straps will eventually degrade and turn to a crumbly mess with a buckle and tang attached, so buy another watch if this happens. Good job, Casio. So it's reasonable to believe that the W-86-1VQES can be given a good old bath before its case leaks.

5 inch, not the fault of the watch at all but if you are after some thing bigger look elsewhere me thinks. I love how the watch shows you the exact second of the time too. OK, so here's yet another review of a budget priced Casio watch.

The illuminator is bright (the only downside is you do have to keep your finger on the illuminator button, otherwise it goes off right away) shame it didn't stay on for about five seconds after pressing it, but it's probably a battery saving feature. In an ideal world, both models would continue to be manufactured for ever, but if your older model dies and you fancy a slight, but worthwhile upgrade, then get on to Amazon now and grab yourself a W-86 before they're all sold out.

The alarm and stop watch are easy to use, too. Originally got the F-91W retro Casio which was great but the light was very limited. 90's charm in 2020.

Super nice, very retro, much lighter than I was expecting & the alarm is pretty loud too. I have always had a cheap casio for years and the time came to get a new one. This watch is super reliable with it’s long lasting battery life which is said to be 7-10 years (from my research). 50 metre water resistance is more than enough.

Very easy set up with built in stopwatch and alarm feature (as well as the standard date and time display). I bought this watch because I wanted a cheep knocking about watch that I did not mind getting covered in mud, oil, paint etc. This watch was bought more because there was missing from my collection a vintage economic watch, like the legendary F-91W (if it can be considered a collection of 6 watches).
