Hamsters are naturally prey animals so opening the cage from the top and towering over them to try and interact with them would be quite intimidating. - Is a little heavy due to the metal and it's large so it can be awkward to move around but if there's two of you it's fine. - You shouldn't put cages in direct sunlight anyway but I'd just be extra careful with cages like this with less ventilation (though still plenty) than cages with bars on every side top to bottom. This cage is absolutely perfect.

Had a hamster chew through the door hinge of a PawHut. - You'll need a self standing water bottle but we found one easily enough and put it in the corner and also managed to hang the original bottle on the side on the side ventilation holes.

It's easy enough to figure out with the rest of the instructions but it would be good to update the instructions to prevent confusion. The first package didn't arrive and we got a refund so we ordered it again and it came the next day without issue. The large size of the cage means you can design it however you like. My cage isn’t low enough for me to use the lid at the top but it is handy for moving the wheel in and out and I can see that it would be brilliant for cleaning the cage.
