The Last Party has definite Agatha Christie vibes in the fact that there's a whole party and community full of suspects. Ffion lives in small village (Cwm Coed) in North Wales where she seeks to resolve the mystery of who murdered Rhys Lloyd after his body is found floating on Llyn Drych (Mirror Lake) one New Year's Day morning.

It was one of those rare books that I wanted to read really quickly, to see what happens next, but really slowly so I didn’t finish it too soon! the lake is in your heart" The chapters are beautifully crafted and we learn more about each character with such ease as Clare meticulously shares with us their individual perceptions of events on the days, weeks, months prior to that fateful night. Great story.
