TOY:BOX is a special edition of the unreleased TOY album Available in 6 x 10” vinyl formats.
Reissue of Bowie's seminal 1972 album on 180g vinyl. Other rarities include an early version of the Hunky Dory favourite ‘Quicksand’ and a previously unreleased live version of ‘Rock ’n’ Roll With Me’ from the legendary 1974 ’Soul Tour’. 3 LP Set The plan was to record the album ‘old school’ with the band playing live, choose the best takes and then release it as soon as humanly possible. Unfortunately, in 2001 the concept of the ‘surprise drop’ album release and the technology to support it were still quite a few years off, making it impossible to release TOY at the time. Highlights include a previously unreleased live medley of 'The Jean Genie / Love Me Do / The Jean Genie’ recorded live at the final Ziggy Stardust concert at Hammersmith Odeon in 1973, featuring Jeff Beck on guitar. The companion album to MOONAGE DAYDREAM features songs spanning Bowie’s career and includes previously unheard material, unique mixes created for the film and this release along with dialogue from Bowie himself.
The package also contains a 16-page full-color book featuring previously unseen photographs by Frank Ockenfels 3.

I would like these Albums to come with better protection to keep them for a long time. Peter John , Tasmania Although I am careful with what I like and collect, it could be better protected. Perfect.

" Someone says "My hero is David Bowie" With Space Oddity playing in my head. well my friends for a doco this little gem stands in a class of its own, besides extensive use of film clips of David talking as in response to all our thoughts his music also tells the story , no real fan of david's work should bypass this offering , the film maker tells the woven tale of David Bowie using terrific sound bites by david himself and all of the film footage is fantastic ( most previously unseen by this writer ) this movie/doco/expose whatever you choose to call it will hold a very special place in your Bowie collection , 2 cd's 1 BluRay , JUST OWN IT . I think the album is good, good sound.
At the Kennedy Space Center, in a movie that asks "Who is your hero? Bowie influenced more than 101 artists in different fields, we still see his influence on Harry Styles in his clothing and some songs.
