Here is just one of the dozens of paragraphs that made me laugh. ”This book is completely stand alone, but you’d be doing yourself a great disservice if you didn’t start with the first one, and read every single Thursday Murder Club at least once. You just didn’t get that sort of service at the chain hotels. Good book just had a small mark on the back of it

But best of all is the absolute discretion of the staff. The location can’t be bettered, close to the shops of Bond Street and Savile Row, and the art galleries of Cork Street. The bar and restaurant are quintessential London, relaxed yet elegant and robustly expensive.

I got totally absorbed with the characters and story. A great story. Humour, friendship, mixed in with a bit of emotion and sadness.

Perfect Xmas present. inimitably droll tale I can only agree with every reviewer who says that Richard Osman has awesome narrative skills and his ability to create jump-off-the-page characters is second to none. Arrived within 12 hours of placing the order and in great condition.

I too found myself laughing out loud several times with the tongue-in-cheek wit that punctuates the novel throughout. I think this is now my favourite book of the Thursday murder club. I enjoyed my special edition from Waterstones Loved the first 4 books and can't wait to tuck into this, the 5th masterpiece from Richard Osman.
