not as thick as it looks in photo and looks different too,does fit double mattress ok . The blanket feels gorgeous and soft, lots of fluffy pile on it. doesn't mention on box that is thermal either

Even just holding my hands underneath it made my hands feel hot. It has a nice thick feel on the underside as well, I would recommend.
