Basic, but reliable so far. So give the price and the significant better quality of the gun compared to the 10 pound basic types - that drip and with which I've burned my fingers often in the past - I still think its a good deal if its lasts 4 years. The cheap ones dont have a decent rest so are hard to put down. It melts the glue so well that it levels out, cause I use it for moulding.

2. If left plugged for some time it starts to heat the body and starts leaking in the back. Check my picture, I have cleaned it but it somehow started accumulating glue on that end.

It leaked a little to start with but then stopped. It's also MUCH more precise than the cheaper models and hardly leaks at all when it's heated up. Relatively easy to use, although power cable is a bit heavy, but sturdy. So the glue is fairly strong.

I made about 70 small rolled roses and glued them to a banner and it only used about a third of a stick. Also used with the Bosch glue sticks for glue blocks for turning. It seems to hear the glue to a higher temperature than my old one. Dropped 1 star for the original stand.

I've just got one of these after using a cheaper Stanley glue gun for some years. I had a glue gun before getting this one, but this Bosch one knock socks off my old one. Nice glue gun, up to now Works fine quick heat up and comfortable to hold, found it a little top heavy especially with the cable trailing behind kept falling over so I quickly made a stand for it, which I glued together with the gun drip tray as well, it looks a bit rough but it works.
