However, when I tried to use it for situps, that did not work so well. It rolls up pretty compactly and definitely gives you a little padding.

This mat may be a bit more expensive than other yoga mats but considering Gaiam guarantees it for life one could consider it a sound, one-time investment. Both top and underside boast a raised pebble like pattern that keep the mat securely in place during use. If not, please click the feedback button and let me know what information you would have liked to have heard about this mat. On a less positive note, I would have appreciated if Gaiam included a strap but unfortunately one has not been included.

It’s been fun yoga sessions with these mats. This Gaiam mat offers the user a greater level of comfort made possible by the 5 millimeter thickness of cushioning. I am new to yoga in Pilates but I have started doing workouts everyday at home. I was able to get most of it off with a clorox wipe.

It is a basic, great staple. The bad:- Might show dirt and discoloration easily. In having my face close to the surface it's reassuring to know I won't be inhaling any toxic chemicals.

Does the job. This is long which is nice but I do wish it was a tiny bit wider. Gaiam also suggests that the mat be wiped with a damp cloth before use to increase it's sticky adhesion properties. It is nice and textured which makes it feel spongy/cushiony.
